Amritsar:- Laying the foundation stone of a government degree college to be built at a cost of Rs 15 crore in Ajnala, an area bordering the international border, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that for decades, the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP indiscriminately looted Punjab, hollowed out the state's institutions and forced the youth to go abroad in search of employment opportunities. The Chief Minister said that the new college reflects the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's resolve to make Punjab a colorful Punjab again through education, providing employment opportunities and public participation. This college will be named after the respected personality Baba Gumchuk Ji Maharaj.
We will never let the opposition forces succeed in their nefarious designs'
The Chief Minister said that while the state government will provide every possible facility and institutional support, it is equally important for every Punjabi to contribute according to their capacity so that Punjab can be transformed into a 'Rangla Punjab' so that our children are not forced to leave the country in search of a better future. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that internal rivalry is at its peak in these parties as they have no concrete agenda for the welfare of the people. He said, "The opposition has no agenda for Punjab. They are just waiting for their turn to loot the people and the resources of the state. Their dreams will never come true because the people of Punjab are very wise and brave and they understand the dubious character of such leaders." He further said that Punjabis will never let these opposition forces succeed in their nefarious designs.
'Appeal to beware of power-hungry politicians'
Appealing to the people to beware of opportunistic and power-hungry politicians, the Chief Minister said that the sole purpose of traditional parties is to loot Punjab and its people. The Chief Minister said, "It is the need of the hour that these parties should not be allowed to speak at all so that the efforts of the state government to make Rangla Punjab can yield positive results." Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government is working tirelessly to accelerate development by opening new Aam Aadmi clinics, schools and colleges as well as implementing other public welfare initiatives.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the foundation stone of a co-educational college has been laid in Bakrour village located along the international border. He said, "With this college, the youth of the border area will be able to get higher education near their homes. Rs 15 crore will be spent on building this institution in an area of ??15 acres." He thanked the Panchayat and residents of Bakraur village for donating land for this project.
'Youth of 50 villages near the college will benefit'
The Chief Minister said that "Youth of 50 villages near this college will benefit, in which more than 2000 students are expected to enroll in the coming years. "This institution will conduct courses in arts, science, commerce, computer science, artificial intelligence and digital education, which will ensure modern and quality education for the students of the border belt." He expressed confidence that the college will play an important role for the bright future of the youth of this region, especially girls." Stating that the aspirations and dreams of the youth of the area are high, the Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to giving flight to these dreams through continuous support. He said, “Our focus is on the welfare of the present and future generations so that Punjab can move forward on the path of progress and prosperity. The welfare of every section of the society is our main objective.”
‘Free education in this institution for students from the village who donated land’
The Chief Minister announced that free education will be provided to the students from the village who donated land for the college. He said that this college will be named after Baba Gamchuk Ji Maharaj as a tribute to him. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Parents should ensure quality education for their children so that they are not forced to go abroad in search of opportunities.”
Talking about the issue of migration, the Chief Minister said that the disillusionment among the youth should be removed so that reverse migration accelerates. He said, “Previous governments ignored this challenge and ruined the system, forcing the youth to look outside the country. It is a matter of pride that our government has provided permanent government jobs to more than 63,000 youth on the basis of merit alone.”
Speaking on the concerns of the border residents, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Punjab government is making every possible effort for the welfare of the border residents as they are patriots in the true sense. He said that as a big relief for the farmers of the border belt of Punjab, the Central Government has given in-principle approval to shift the barbed wire towards the international border. He said, “This will enable uninterrupted cultivation on thousands of acres of agricultural land, which is currently beyond the barbed wire. Farmers were earlier forced to cross the barbed wire under the protection of BSF to reach their fields along the 532 km Indo-Pak border. "After continuous efforts, progress has finally been made on this long-pending issue."
