Patiala- To further improve the quality of health services in the district, Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Sanjay Kamran held a meeting with all the Program Officers and Senior Medical Officers of the district at the Civil Surgeon Office today. Presiding over the meeting, the Civil Surgeon asked all the Senior Medical Officers to adopt a compassionate and compassionate attitude towards the patients and their relatives. During this, he obtained information from all the SMOs regarding various health schemes and programs being run in the district and the health facilities being provided to the people in the Aam Aadmi Clinics. He said that taking care of the health facilities of the people should be our first priority.
He also directed the government to ensure that the daily report regarding the tobacco-free youth campaign started by the government from October 9 is updated on the relevant portal. The Civil Surgeon said that the arrangements for electricity, oxygen and medicines should be kept completely intact in the health institutions of the district. The availability of stock of essential medicines should be ensured in the health institutions.
Under various national health programs, priority should be given to providing health services to the elderly, pregnant women and patients suffering from serious diseases who come for treatment in health institutions to the people, adopting a compassionate attitude by the staff.
Periodic supervision should be ensured for all these arrangements. Every patient should be provided with every medicine as per their requirement in the hospital itself and it should be monitored daily.
Keeping in mind the increasing cases of dengue and chikungunya, everyone was instructed that in any area where a dengue case is reported, awareness activities should be carried out, fogging should be done and larvae should be checked in nearby houses and indoor spraying should be done. Publicity regarding prevention of dengue should be done in temples and gurdwaras.
