Chandigarh, December 5:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has taken strict action on cases of misappropriation of government funds and fraud by repeatedly uploading the same crop damage photo on e-Shatipurti portal. He has directed to take strict disciplinary action against the concerned Patwaris in all such cases.
Following the orders of the Chief Minister, such Patwaris have been identified and action has been initiated. In this series, Patwaris of Jui Khurd (Bhiwani), Beripur (Kurukshetra), Kalwan (Jind), Jandwala (Fatehabad), Pataudi (Gurugram) and Nimli (Dadri) have been suspended with immediate effect. In this regard, a thorough investigation is underway to take action against other culprits.
Shri Naib Singh Saini was presiding over a review meeting of the progress of the budget announcements of the Revenue Department here today.
He said that the government's intention is that government assistance should reach every eligible person without any discrimination. It should be ensured that the farmers who have suffered current losses get compensation.
It is worth mentioning that to compensate for the crop damage caused by excessive rainfall during the monsoon, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini had already given clear instructions that the investigation of crop damage should be done in a fair and transparent manner and the report should be sent on time. The Chief Minister expressed concern over the cases of delay and fraud in the reports.
In many places where there was no damage, wrong reporting was done by the concerned Patwaris. Apart from this, an attempt was made to misuse government money by uploading the photo of the same crop damage on the portal several times. The Chief Minister directed to ensure strict disciplinary action against all such guilty Patwaris.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, Dr. Sumita Mishra, to seek an immediate report in this regard from all the District Deputy Commissioners and ensure further action so that the affected farmers can be provided relief by providing compensation within the next one week.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the budget announcements of the Revenue Department and the Chief Minister's announcements and directed them to be completed as soon as possible, so that the benefits of all the schemes reach the public on time.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, Dr. Sumita Mishra, Commissioner and Secretary of the Finance Department, Mohammad Shine, Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Yashpal, OSD of the Chief Minister, Raj Nehru, Special Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Prabhjot Singh and other officials were also present.
