Chandigarh, November 26 - The Sheesh Marg Yatra dedicated to the 350th year of sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji reached the CRPF campus in Chandigarh on Wednesday, where Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini warmly welcomed the Yatra. He paid homage to the holy palanquin. On reaching the campus, the CRPF unit showered flowers on Sri Guru Granth Sahib and gave a guard of honour.
The Chief Minister said that the unique sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji is a guide for the entire human race. The courage and asceticism with which he dedicated his head to protect religion, truth and humanity is an example for the whole world. He said that the Sheesh Marg Yatra inspires us to follow the path of brotherhood, duty and courage. The Haryana government is always proud of such spiritual and social events. This yatra started on November 24 from Sheesh Ganj Gurudwara, New Delhi and will conclude with a holy end at Shri Anandpur Sahib on November 26.
This yatra is being led by Baba Manjit Singh of Zirakpur and this is the 15th Sheesh Marg Yatra in which a large number of devotees are participating. When the yatra arrived in Haryana, it was given a grand welcome in many cities including Badkhalsa, Tarawih, Karnal, Panipat, Ambala. The devotees showered flowers, sang kirtan, ardas and langar seva at various places, creating a spiritual atmosphere.
During the arrival of the yatra in Chandigarh, the devotees filled the atmosphere with the love of Guru, sacrifice and spiritual peace with the holy Shabad-kirtan and ardas. Hundreds of devotees came to have darshan and become a part of this wonderful yatra.
On this occasion, Haryana Sahitya Akademi Punjabi Cell Director Sardar Harpal Singh Gill, Mr. Sanjay Tandon, former CRPF IG Mr. Jasvir Singh Sandhu, DIG Mr. Harjinder Singh, CO Mr. Vishal and Mr. Vikram Singh, DSP Mr. Kulwinder Singh and Sarpanch Mr. Sukhjit Singh along with other dignitaries were present.
