Sri Anandpur Sahib:- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made serious allegations against the BJP for the bomb blasts and sacrilege incidents taking place in Punjab and said that all this is being done keeping in mind the upcoming elections in Punjab.
After worshipping at Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, the Chief Minister addressed a large gathering at the local Bhagat Ravidas Chowk and started the ‘Shukrana Yatra’. While talking to reporters on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that crores of devotees have been demanding for a long time that a strict law should be made against those who desecrate Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He said that the new law made by the Punjab government is an important step to protect the respect of Guru Sahib and for this they are paying homage at the Guru Ghars and offering thanks.
The Chief Minister said that after starting the journey from Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, he will pay obeisance at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo, Gurdwara Baba Buddha, Gurdwara Mastuana Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Dukh Niwaran Sahib Patiala and will conclude this gratitude journey by paying obeisance at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he prayed to Guru Sahib and may God grant him strength and ability to serve the people. Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab is a land that seeks peace, brotherhood and the welfare of all, but the BJP has been doing politics of creating tension before the elections in various states. He alleged that the recent small bomb blasts and sacrilege incidents are also part of this political agenda. He said that due to the new law, now anyone will fear severe punishment before committing sacrilege, due to which the “communal politics” of the BJP has been dealt a blow. Regarding the sacrilege incident in Mohali, he said that strict action will be taken in this matter as per the new law.
