Chandigarh: The IT team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh, took another major step towards public welfare by successfully organizing a two-day 'Special Service Camp' in Manimajra. Media in-charge Rameshwar Giri informed that the camp, organized under the visionary guidance of State President Jatinder Pal Malhotra, aimed to directly provide the benefits of government welfare schemes to the last mile in society, especially the poor, needy, SC/ST, and minority communities.
Held on the 29th and 30th in New Indira Colony, Manimajra (Sector 13), the camp witnessed tremendous enthusiasm among local residents. During the camp, hundreds of people availed themselves of on-the-spot benefits such as Ayushman Bharat cards, Abha cards, and e-Shram cards. Additionally, people were informed about various pension schemes and easy loan schemes, especially those available for SC/ST and minorities, and were encouraged to apply.
The event was organized under the supervision of State IT Chief Shivinder Mandotra and State Secretary Sonia Duggal.
BJP workers and office bearers played a key role in making the camp a success. District President Bhupinder Saini and his team members—Ravinder Lohat, Ram Shukla, Rajesh Singla, Antarjot Singh, and Shakti Srivastava—went door-to-door to raise awareness and help bring people to the camp. Media in-charge Rameshwar Giri, Mandal President Kamal Maurya, Vinod Agarwal, and nominated councilor Geeta Chauhan, along with several other local leaders, were also present.
Shivinder Mandotra explained that this camp was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, which emphasizes ensuring that the benefits of every government scheme reach its true and needy beneficiaries without any hindrance.
