Chandigarh, July 4:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, India is moving towards becoming the fourth largest economy in the world. Today, the country is collecting record GST every month, which is a symbol of the growing economic strength of the country. Chartered Accountants (CAs) have a major contribution in strengthening this tax system. On the demand of 5 acres of land by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to set up a Center of Excellence in Panchkula, the Chief Minister assured that the government will provide all possible assistance.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was addressing the National Conference of CA Students ''Pragyan 2026'' at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Panchkula on Saturday as the chief guest. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp.
Addressing the CA students, he said that the contribution of CA is important in the concept of a developed India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The economic building that will be built of a developed India, its map and its blueprint will be prepared by you, the young comrades. Narrating an inspiring statement of the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said that Mr. Narendra Modi had said in a program of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India that the signature of a Chartered Accountant is more powerful than the signature of the Prime Minister of the country. This is the greatest honor given by the country to your pen, honesty and truth. Governments can make policies, plans and programs, but the direction and condition of the entire economy is determined by the signature of a Chartered Accountant.
He said that the theme of this conference, 'Pragyan Yash', teaches us that success does not come only with talent, but with hard work, honesty, discipline and the spirit of continuous learning. In this conference, inspirational speeches by renowned speakers of the country, student presentations, meaningful discussions, networking opportunities and cultural programs will also be organized. He said that CA may be just two letters for the world, but CA studies are not an ordinary course. It is a tough practice and penance. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, while interacting with the CA students, said that a much bigger responsibility than the challenges they face today is their business ethics. When they come out with a degree, they will have the key to the country's trust in their hands. A sound advice from them and an honest report can fill the country's treasury, which brings good equipment to the jawans standing on the border and ration reaches the plates of the poor of the country. Welcoming the students from different parts of the country to Haryana, he said that this is the state that contributes a lot to the development of the country. Haryana is becoming a big hub of new businesses and startups today. Every possible step is being taken to make business easier here and a whole sky of opportunities has opened up for youth like you.
The Chief Minister said that today the world of technology is changing very fast. Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI is being discussed everywhere. Some people fear that AI will put the jobs of Chartered Accountants in danger. He said that he says with full confidence that no AI, no computer software can ever replace the discretion of a human being, his experience and his decision-making ability. Technology can make work easier, can process data quickly but it cannot replace your ethics, your honesty and your human perspective.
On this occasion, Chairman Board of Studies CA Mr. Rajesh Sharma said in his address that CA has an important contribution in strengthening the country's economy. Describing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he said that the institute has 185 branches across the country. There are 154 overseas chapters and 31 representative offices in the world. This institute is the largest accounting body in the world with 5 lakh 30 thousand members and 12 lakh students. Chairman of NICASA Chandigarh Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Lakhatya welcomed the Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini and other guests.
