Hansi– On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, the District Red Cross Society, Hansi, organized a special program at the Ashram in Hansi, conveying an inspiring message of selfless service to humanity, compassion, and social dedication. The event was conducted under the directives of Ankush Miglani (Vice President) and Dr. Sunil Kumar (General Secretary) of the Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana State Branch (Chandigarh), as well as Rahul Narwal (Deputy Commissioner and Chairman) of the District Red Cross Society, Hansi; it was executed under the guidance of Ravindra Kumar, Secretary of the District Red Cross Branch, Hansi.
During the program, the birthday of Henry Dunant—the founder of the Red Cross movement—was celebrated with reverence and respect through a cake-cutting ceremony. Recalling his ideals of service to humanity, self-sacrifice, and philanthropy, those present pledged to remain ever-ready to assist the needy members of society.
On this occasion, Amul milk, fruits, and biscuits were distributed to the residents of the Ashram. This compassionate initiative by the Red Cross branch fostered an atmosphere of joy within the Ashram. Attendees at the event remarked that the Red Cross organization continues to set a shining example of humanity in society by consistently serving the needy and the helpless.
Additionally, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the District Red Cross Office. Youths, social workers, and blood donors participated enthusiastically in the camp and donated blood. The donors were honored with certificates and were encouraged to inspire as many people as possible to donate blood regularly. Speakers emphasized that blood donation is the greatest of all donations, noting that a single unit of blood can give a new lease on life to a person in need.
During the program, the heads of various social organizations in the Hansi district were honored for their remarkable contributions to social service and public welfare activities. Speaking on the occasion, Red Cross officials affirmed that the organization would continue to pursue initiatives related to health, service, awareness, and human welfare with the same spirit of dedication in the future. On this occasion, Red Cross Secretary Ravindra Kumar, Assistant Naresh Kumar, Accounts Clerk Mukesh Kumar, Computer Operator Naresh Bishu, Computer Coordinator Renu Rani, and Attendant Sandeep, along with other dignitaries, were present.
