New Delhi:- The Bharatiya Janata Party is going to start its election activities in Punjab from this month, for which preparations have been made for the visits of many big leaders. According to sources, BJP national president Nitin Nabin will visit Punjab for the first time in June-end. He will start his tour from Amritsar, where he will pay obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Durgiana Temple.
Before Nitin Nabin's arrival, two senior ministers of the central government will visit Punjab. First, Union Urban Development and Housing Minister ML Khattar is reaching Amritsar on June 13. After him, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will also visit Punjab in the next few days. After these visits, the BJP will entrust the responsibility of Punjab election campaign to many more of its senior ministers.
This plan has been prepared after the meetings held by Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon with central ministers. Dhillon had urged the central government to pay special attention to the key issues of Punjab, including the drug problem, law and order, continuously declining water levels, security in border areas, lack of employment opportunities and poor health facilities.
