Chandigarh, February 21:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the new thinking and active energy of the youth will give a new direction to the state and the country. Expressing concern over the current situation in Punjab, he said that in the last few years, the problem of drugs has increased seriously, which has had a bad impact on the youth generation. Keeping the youth away from drugs is the need of the hour and the Bharatiya Janata Party is fully committed to their bright future.
The Chief Minister was addressing a program organized in Chandigarh on Saturday. He said that programs like cyclothon and marathon are being organized in Haryana to raise awareness against drugs, in which a large number of youth are participating. Strict action is being taken against those involved in illegal drug trade and their properties are also being attached. Special awareness campaigns are being run in universities and educational institutions.
Speaking on the rising crime rate, the Chief Minister said that strengthening law and order in Punjab and ensuring peace, security and stability will be our priority. He targeted the Aam Aadmi Party government and said that it has failed to fulfill its promises.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country has made remarkable progress and India's prestige has been strengthened at the global level. In the field of infrastructure, development has got a new momentum with the expansion of roads, national highways and connectivity.
On the subject of employment, he said that the initiatives like Mudra Yojana, Startup India, Make in India and Stand Up India of the Central Government have provided self-employment opportunities to the youth. The Haryana Government has also provided government jobs through a transparent process without any cost and without any slip. In the last one year, about 37 thousand youth have been given government jobs. Recently, recruitment has been made for 12,500 posts which are being filled with complete transparency so that youth of all sections get equal opportunities.
The Chief Minister said that in the field of sports, the players of Haryana have brought glory to the country in various competitions including the Olympics, Paralympics and Asian Games. The government is providing cash prize money worth crores of rupees to encourage the players.
He said that by establishing the Department of Foreign Cooperation, employment opportunities are being provided to the youth abroad through a safe and transparent medium and due process has been ensured. Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the government's goal is to empower the youth and take the state and the country to new heights of development.
