Garhshankar/Hoshiarpur:- A significant development came to light in the politics of Garhshankar constituency when, giving a big setback to the Shiromani Akali Dal, the party's district vice president Arvinder Singh Neeta and prominent leader Harpreet Singh said goodbye to the Shiromani Akali Dal and joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker and Garhshankar constituency MLA S. Jai Krishan Singh Raudi warmly welcomed them by inducting them into the party by donning a siropao.
On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Raudi said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has worked in the state by giving priority to the public interest, due to which people from all sections are continuously getting influenced by the party's policies and joining it. He said that development works are being carried out at a record level in Garhshankar constituency and this is the reason why leaders and workers of various political parties are also expressing their faith in Aam Aadmi Party. He assured that every worker who joins the party will be given full respect and honor.
On this occasion, Arvinder Singh Neeta said that he has taken the decision to leave Shiromani Akali Dal after careful consideration. He said that he has joined the party along with his colleagues after being impressed by the people-friendly policies of Aam Aadmi Party, the work being done by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the development works being carried out in Garhshankar constituency by Deputy Speaker S. Jai Krishan Singh Raudi. He said that now he will work with full dedication to take the ideology of Aam Aadmi Party to every door and make the party stronger.
Harpreet Singh also said that the people of Punjab are fed up with traditional politics and now they are giving priority to development and honest politics. He said that he will work with full dedication to make the Aam Aadmi Party stronger along with his colleagues. On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Raudi congratulated the leaders who joined the party and said that with their joining, the Aam Aadmi Party will be stronger in Garhshankar constituency and many more leaders will join the party in the coming time.
