Hoshiarpur:- On the initiative of Bhakra Beas Management Board Talwara, a free medical camp was organized for heart disease screening at BBMB Hospital Talwara today in collaboration with Care Best Hospital Jalandhar. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Rakesh Gupta, Chief Engineer of BBMB Talwara. In this camp, Dr. Raman Chawla, a heart disease specialist of Punjab from Care Best Hospital Jalandhar, specially arrived to provide his services.
On this occasion, Chief Engineer Mr. Rakesh Gupta, while welcoming Dr. Raman Chawla here, said that such camps are helpful in early detection of diseases and also increase public awareness about diseases. He said that BBMB is also contributing a lot in social work. His wife Seema Gupta was also present on this occasion.
Dr. Raman Chawla, in his address on this occasion, gave information about the importance of a good lifestyle to avoid heart diseases. He said that regular exercise should be done for a healthy life and stress should be reduced from life. He gave the mantra of being happy and exercising for a healthy life.
Earlier, upon reaching the hospital, Principal Medical Officer Dr. Surinder Pal Singh welcomed Chief Engineer Mr. Rakesh Gupta and Dr. Raman Chawla. Dr. Amarjit Singh conducted the stage in his special literary style.
Apart from Dr. Raman Chawla from Care Best Hospital, Dr. Isan Bagga and team provided their services. Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Dr. Sobhana Soni and other doctors from BBMB Hospital were also present on this occasion.
A large number of people from Talwara and surrounding areas reached this camp and got their check-up done by expert doctors. People were heard praising this initiative of BBMB.
