Una, June 25: An awareness camp was organized today at Career Hope Coaching Institute, Una, under the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' (Drug-Free India Campaign). The event was held under the joint aegis of the District Welfare Officer, Una, and the District Legal Services Authority, Una, with the support of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh.
During the camp, students were provided with detailed information regarding the adverse effects of substance abuse, preventive measures, and relevant legal provisions. They were informed that drug abuse not only impacts an individual's health but also has a negative effect on their family and society.
On this occasion, Dr. Pushpendra Rana, District Programme Officer (Health) at the District Hospital, Una, and Jatindra Sharma, Tehsil Welfare Officer, Una, shared vital information to raise awareness among the students about the dangers of substance abuse. They urged the students to stay away from drugs, seek timely assistance if needed, and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Jatindra Sharma also apprised the students of various public welfare schemes being implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh, for the betterment of society.
Vikram Dhiman, Principal of Career Hope Coaching Institute, Una, motivated the students to shun drugs, cultivate a positive mindset, and build a better future through hard work. The students present at the camp pledged to contribute towards creating a drug-free society.
