Karnal: Armed Forces Flag Day is a sacred festival to honor the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. On this occasion, Karnal Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh proudly hoisted the flag at his office in the Mini Secretariat, with the help of Military and Paramilitary Welfare Officer Colonel OP Sharma and his team, and extended his heartfelt greetings to everyone on Flag Day.
OP Sharma and his team also hoisted the flag at the residence of District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Ajay Kumar Sharda, CTM Monica Sharma, and other district officials. They also hoisted the flag at the residence of Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh's father.
Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh emotionally expressed his deep appreciation for the glorious history our Army, Navy, and Air Force have created. Whether in 1962, 1965, 1971, Kargil, or the Galwan Valley, our brave soldiers have sacrificed their all to protect the motherland. Even in times of peace, they remain steadfast on the borders, and when nature strikes, these soldiers are the first to rush to save lives.
He said that when our soldiers are protecting the country on the inaccessible Himalayan peaks, in the vast oceans, or in the deserts, it is our duty to take full care of their families. Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated with the aim of ensuring that the families of those who sacrificed their lives and the injured soldiers receive every possible assistance.
The Deputy Commissioner, while specifically praising the brave sons of Haryana, said that the soldiers of Haryana are the pride of the Indian Army. The highest number of Param Vir Chakras, Ashok Chakras, and other gallantry medals have been awarded to soldiers from our state.
Therefore, it becomes even more of our responsibility to contribute generously to this sacred fund so that no family of a brave soldier or a former soldier faces financial hardship.
Welfare Manager Anil Kumar Kathuria, Mukesh Kumar, Praveen, Ramesh, Kuldeep, and Pawan Malik, along with other staff, were present on this occasion. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to everyone that on this Armed Forces Flag Day, let us take a pledge that we will never let the sacrifice of our brave men go in vain and will always keep a smile on the faces of their families.
