Nawanshahr:- Seminar on awareness of traffic rules and Swachh Bharat was organized in collaboration with Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims, Nawanshahr, Traffic Police and NSS volunteers. On this occasion, Sardar Chaman Singh (Project Director) shared detailed information about the Drug-Free India Campaign and the War on Drugs campaign and said that the people of Punjab should make joint efforts to stop the sixth river of drugs.
To keep the youth away from drugs, it is necessary to connect them with the history/culture of Punjab. The youth can be kept away from this evil by referring to the lives of Gurus/Peers and patriots, workers. By doing this, the stain of drugs on Punjab can be cleaned.
He also raised awareness about the deaths/economic depression and social disorder caused by drugs. He even explained in detail that the youth are falling victim to terrible diseases due to drug use. Finally, he appealed that we should first start from our own homes for drug addiction, only if we make our homes drug free, then only we will make Punjab drug free.
On this occasion, Mr. Subhash Chandra, Incharge Traffic Police, Nawanshahr, told the students in detail about the traffic rules, what things we should take special care of while driving and warned them to avoid road accidents.
On this occasion, S. Jaswinder Singh shared detailed information about how to keep ourselves and our surroundings clean under the "Swachh Bharat" campaign. On this occasion, Sardar Jasvir Singh, Principal thanked everyone and asked the students to implement the issues of the seminar. Madam Sandeep Kaur played the role of Stage Secretary well.
Finally, an awareness rally was taken out from the school to Chandigarh Chowk with various banners/motos.
