Chandigarh, June 23:- Haryana Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa has directed the officials to complete all administrative, technical and financial formalities during the monsoon season at all costs, so that road construction and improvement works can be started expeditiously as soon as the weather becomes suitable. He said that special care should be taken in the construction works regarding quality and safety standards.
On Tuesday, Cabinet Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa reviewed the progress of model road projects to be developed in all 22 districts of the state as per the announcement of the Chief Minister, as well as other projects.
The officials informed Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa that the total length of these model roads will be about 115 km. These roads will be made ideal roads of the state in terms of beautification, modern facilities and road safety. The officials informed that the survey of the selected 8 roads by expert agencies will be completed in July. Along with this, administrative approval for the model road projects is also likely to be received by July, after which the construction work will be started.
In the meeting, the officials also apprised the Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa about the progress of the work program for the year 2026-27. The officials said that out of the proposed 1,633 roads, EOs of 1,042 roads have been prepared and sent, while the process of the remaining roads is also being completed rapidly. On this, the Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa said that the construction work, repairing etc. of all roads should be expedited. He said that the paperwork in this regard should be completed especially within the rainy season, no compromise will be tolerated in the quality of road construction.
Meanwhile, during the review of the "Mahari Sadak" app, the Minister directed that the details of the roads whose details are not yet included in the app should also be added soon. So that the common people can send their road related complaints on the app and get it resolved quickly. The officials said that the department is developing such a system under which the common people will be able to get detailed information related to the road by scanning the QR code installed on the roads. Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa also directed to expedite this work.
Mr. Gangwa directed the officials to conduct regular review of all projects, ensure time-bound implementation and ensure complete transparency in the work. He said that it is the priority of the government to provide a better, safe and sustainable road network to the people of the state.
In the meeting, it was also asked to expedite the work being done by the department in collaboration with the Haryana Space Application Center. He also reviewed other departmental projects. During this, Additional Chief Secretary of the P.W. (B&R) Department Mr. A.K. Singh, Additional Secretary Mr. Hitesh Kumar Meena, EIC Mr. Anil Daya and other officials were present.
