Karnal, November 8: Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh announced that a grand Hind Di Chadar Marathon will be held on November 9th to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Union Minister for Energy, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, will flag off the marathon at 6:30 am. The marathon's objective is to spread the message of Guru Tegh Bahadur's great sacrifice, courage, and devotion to the people. The administration has completed all preparations for the marathon.
He stated that 50,000 participants will participate in the marathon. Traffic has been diverted from the marathon route for the convenience of the participants. Drinking water points have been set up along the route for the runners. Ambulances have also been deployed at various locations, with teams of doctors present for medical services.
Marathon will be held in 3 categories:-
He informed that the Hind Di Chadar Marathon will be organized in 3 categories. The 10-kilometer and 21-kilometer marathons will begin at 5:30 am, and the 5-kilometer marathon will begin at 6:30 am. He appealed to the district residents to participate in this marathon in large numbers and be a part of this inspiring event.
