Chandigarh, 31: Haryana Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda said that the construction work of Guru Teg Bahadur Mahila College located in Tarawih of district Karnal was announced by the then Chief Minister in the year 2015, according to which its construction work was started in the year 2018. According to the latest report received from the Construction Agency (Public Works Department, Buildings and Roads, Haryana), 85 percent of the work of the college has been completed. Apart from this, the work of the project was stopped due to litigation matters and the work was completed by the Construction Agency on 5 July 2023.
The department has already issued a revised administrative approval of Rs. 22371.35 lakh for this work on 3 August 2026. The work will be started in two months. He said that action will be taken against those officers who are found negligent in their work. The minister was replying to a question raised by a member of the House during the monsoon session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha today.
