Pune/Mumbai:- Seven people have died in Maharashtra's Pimpri Chinchwad area after allegedly consuming poisonous (fake) liquor, while in the last 24 hours, three more people have died under suspicious circumstances in a similar case in Pune city. After this tragic incident, there has been a stir in the administration and police department. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered a high-level investigation into this entire incident.
According to the police administration, eight people, including a main bootlegger (liquor smuggler), have been detained in connection with the supply of poisonous liquor in the Phugewadi area of ??Pimpri Chinchwad. Along with this, the condition of three other people who fell ill due to consumption of alcohol remains critical and they are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
