Chandigarh, September 14:- Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana said that the historic journey of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public life, public service, good governance and nation-building would be taken to every citizen. For this, the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will be conducted in the state from September 17 to October 17, 2026. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will launch these programs from different locations across the state. The campaign will be a comprehensive public campaign aimed at expressing gratitude for the Prime Minister’s commitment to service, taking information about his public welfare works to every family and ensuring citizens’ participation in building a developed India.

Minister Shyam Singh Rana said that 25 years of the historic journey of public service and service to the nation through the governance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi are about to be completed. He paid his respects to him for his extraordinary, tireless and dedicated service to the nation for the last 25 years. His 25-year tenure as Chief Minister and Prime Minister is an inspiring chapter of service, good governance, resolve and nation-building. He said that Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini would participate in a blood donation camp, Rangoli, Aashirwad Ka Diya and a futuristic drone show in Kurukshetra on September 17.
He said that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ would begin on September 17, the Prime Minister’s birthday, with ‘Seva Diwas’. Blood donation camps would be organised on this day and the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme would be held in the evening. He appealed to every family in Haryana to light the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ at their homes at 7 p.m. on September 17. When the lamp of service and resolve is lit in every home, the entire Haryana will illuminate with a sense of affection and gratitude towards the Prime Minister.
He said that painting (art) and speech competitions would be organised in all schools from September 17 to October 7. Similarly, the Prime Minister’s 25-year journey of transformation would be taken to every village through street plays, music, dialogue and emotional presentations. He said that the public welfare schemes launched by the Prime Minister have brought changes in the lives of crores of families. Their stories often do not come to the forefront. During this period, such untold stories would be brought before society. From September 25 to October 7, the ‘Aangan Milan Seva’ programmes would be organised. Mothers and children would actively participate in these programmes. The contribution of Anganwadi and ASHA workers would be honoured during these programmes. Similarly, the ‘True Transformation Stories of 25 Lakh Citizens of the Country’ would be brought before the general public. He said that foot marches and bike rallies would also be organised in villages and districts from different directions.
The Agriculture Minister said that the Prime Minister believes that a developed India will not be built only through the efforts of the government, but through the contribution of every citizen. A campaign will be conducted with this spirit. It will be ensured that every citizen contributes at least 25 minutes to society. Someone may donate blood, someone may plant saplings, someone may conduct a cleanliness campaign, someone may teach digital technology to the elderly and someone may teach underprivileged children. Awareness about de-addiction, road safety, water conservation, cyber security, women’s health and organ donation can also become a medium of service.
If Paddy is Brought to Mandis After Drying, Farmers Will Face No Difficulty – Shyam Singh Rana
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana said that during the paddy season, farmers would not face any kind of difficulty if they bring their crop after drying it. Paddy is procured with the prescribed moisture level of 17 per cent. The government stands fully with farmers and commission agents. The government, farmers and traders are members of the same family. The Agriculture Minister also appealed to farmers to cultivate pulses along with wheat and paddy.
He said that the government procures wheat and paddy is taken from rice mills after being processed into rice. The work of crop procurement is done by the Central Government and management is carried out by the state government. He said that in earlier times, farmers used to harvest paddy by hand, and in this process the crop would reach the mandis only after about 20 days to one month. Now, with harvesting by combine, the crop reaches the mandi within half an hour. In such a situation, the moisture content in paddy is higher.
He said that the government takes 67 kilograms of rice per quintal from rice mills. If the moisture content in paddy is high, there will be a shortage (reduction) in the 67 kilograms of rice per quintal after drying. He said that in the goal of Developed India 2047, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a 20 per cent contribution from the agriculture sector. This target will be achieved only when farmers produce all crops within their own country and the country does not have to import any food items from abroad.
He said that historic changes have also taken place in the agriculture sector. Efforts have been made to make agriculture more profitable through agricultural infrastructure, irrigation, natural farming and modern technology. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers are being provided annual assistance of Rs 6,000 directly into their bank accounts. So far, Rs 4 lakh 50 thousand crore has been provided under Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, 4 crore 20 lakh farmers have benefited. Crop worth more than Rs 5 lakh crore has been sold on the e-NAM platform, with 1,656 mandis and more than 1 crore 80 lakh farmers directly connected to it.
He said that about 8 crore farmers in the country are getting easy and reliable credit facilities through the Kisan Credit Card. With Shree Anna (coarse grains) gaining global recognition, India has for the first time entered the world’s top-10 countries in agricultural exports. Under the PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, fish production in the country has doubled from 95 lakh tonnes in 2014-15 to around 2 crore tonnes now.
