Samana/Patiala:- Last day, in the memory of late Jagdish Lal Sarma, an eye and general medical camp was organized by Gyan Jyoti Education Society, Right Thinking Welfare Society Patiala in Gurdwara Sahib of village Chonhath in the memory of late Jagdish Lal Sarma in Gurdwara Sahib of village Chonhath. 125 patients were checked for eyes and 50 needy people were given free glasses.
Around 80 patients were checked by Dr. Gurmit Singh and his staff and medicines were distributed free of cost. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Manpreet Kaur Medical Officer. In her speech, the public was made aware about eye diseases. We should use green vegetables.
Dr. Harnek Singh Dhot said that we should splash fresh water on our eyes and should use mobile phones at least. Murari Lal Sarma presided over the camp. The special guest, eminent social worker Upkar Singh, said that "Eyes are the world" and we should take care of them.
On this occasion, the camp was organized by Lal Chand Sarma, Santosh Kumari, Rajiv Sarma, Dhruv Sarma, Deepak Kalia, Raj Kumar, Gulshan Sarma. The village sarpanch and panchayat members also supported us.
