Strict Legal Action to be Taken Against Those Filing False Complaints SP Hisar
Haryana/Hisar: Issuing strict directives to all Station House Officers (SHOs), Police Post In-charges, and Investigating Officers across the district, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Hisar has emphasized that they must personally ensure a fair, thorough, and factual investigation into every complaint submitted to the police. Furthermore, if during the course of an investigation, a complaint is found to be false, fabricated, malicious, or filed with the specific intent of falsely implicating an individual, strict legal action—in accordance with established rules—must be initiated against the concerned person.
The SP of Hisar stated that certain individuals attempt to misuse the law and police machinery by filing false complaints driven by personal vendettas, mutual disputes, a desire for revenge, or with the objective of exerting pressure. Such instances result in the wastage of the police's valuable time and resources, thereby creating obstacles in delivering timely justice to genuine victims. The Hisar Police is taking such matters with utmost seriousness, and in the future, no individual will be permitted to misuse the law.
He categorically stated that the police are working with complete honesty and impartiality to ensure the safety of the general public and to deliver justice; however, if any individual deliberately provides false information in an attempt to falsely implicate, defame, or mislead an innocent person or the police, strict action will be taken against them under the law. No individual will be permitted to trifle with the law.
The SP of Hisar has also instructed all Station House Officers to ensure that, while investigating complaints, the versions of both parties are heard with due seriousness, that investigations are conducted impartially based on facts and evidence, and that no negligence whatsoever is committed. If a complaint is found to be false during the investigation, a case must be registered against the concerned individual under appropriate sections of the law, and subsequent legal action must be ensured.
Appealing to the general public, the Superintendent of Police urged citizens to submit only truthful and factual complaints to the police administration, and to refrain from spreading rumors, providing false information, or leveling baseless allegations. False complaints generate unnecessary tension and disputes within society and adversely affect law and order. Therefore, it is the duty of every citizen to respect the law and cooperate with the police administration.
The Hisar Police have clarified that operations will continue with complete transparency and strictness to maintain law and order in the district, curb crime, and ensure justice for innocent individuals. Those who abide by the law will receive full protection, while strict action will be taken—without any discrimination—against those who misuse the law.
