In a message to the students, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Suresh Malhotra, stated that the mental health session focused on aspects such as stress management, practicing positive thinking, and spending time in nature.
He emphasized that improving mental health is important for all age groups, and students should especially pay attention to their mental health. Mental health is crucial for students because it impacts their learning and participation in school or college.
Student Welfare Director, Prof. Ranjan Gupta, expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Vice Chancellor for recognizing the importance of mental health support within the university and approved the appointment of a mental health counselor for students.
He urged students to take full advantage of this session, which was specifically designed to help them face challenges, develop resilience, and balance academic excellence with well-being. RCI Licensed Psychologist Dr. Deepshikha Sharma explained that while college life is exciting, it also brings with it the pressures of emotional changes, cultural transitions, and new responsibilities.
She guided students on practical ways to manage stress, develop resilience, build healthy relationships, and prioritize mental health. The session was successfully organized by Dr. Yuvraj Kasal. College Dean Prof. Ramesh Goyal and other scientists were present on the occasion.
