Assandh/Karnal, September 23: Assandh MLA Yogendra Rana met with shopkeepers in Assandh city on Tuesday and congratulated them on the GST exemption during the festive season. The MLA said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given this huge gift to all the countrymen, starting with Navratri. 
This is another important step by Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards the Self-reliant India campaign. The Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, will also ensure its benefits reach the general public.
MLA Yogendra Rana said that the new GST reforms and income tax exemption will result in significant annual savings for the countrymen. He said, "One Nation, One Tax has strengthened the country economically." The previous four GST rates (5 percent, 12 percent, 18 percent, and 28 percent) have been reduced to two main rates of 5 percent and 18 percent. 
With this move, nearly 99% of everyday items are now subject to a GST rate of 5% or less. This will result in significant savings for the common man. Furthermore, in this year's budget, the government has provided income tax relief to the middle class by exempting income up to ?12 lakh.

Use Indigenous Goods:
MLA Yogendra Rana stated that the use of indigenous goods is essential for making the country self-reliant. The Prime Minister has also appealed to the public in this regard. We should contribute to the country's development by using indigenous goods and embracing self-reliance.
MLA Yogendra Rana urged citizens to adopt indigenous products. He said, "Swadeshi in every home, Swadeshi in every home – this will make our country self-reliant." He also stated that these reforms will simplify the tax system for industries and businesses, boosting their businesses. This next-generation GST has brought happiness to everyone, from farmers to entrepreneurs, from families to businesses.
