Hoshiarpur- Under the guidance of District Education Officer Mrs. Lalita Arora and under the leadership of Mr. Preet Kohli Assistant Director Youth Services Hoshiarpur, National Service Scheme Day was celebrated at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School Hajipur. On this occasion, students were informed about the National Service Scheme in the morning assembly by Samarjit Singh Program Officer.
A one-day special camp was organized by the National Service Scheme Unit in the school in which 50 students participated. School Head Principal Sanjeev Kumar inaugurated the camp and motivated the students to participate with dedication for serving the country.
Samarjit Singh Lecturer English, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme Unit, gave information about the activities to be done during the camp and discussed the importance of NSS Day. Lecturer Sukhjit Singh informed the camper students about the concept and importance of service.
In the camp, volunteers contributed enthusiastically to the beautification and cleanliness of the school. The volunteers involved in the camp vowed to actively participate in the war against drugs campaign to eliminate drugs from the country and society.
Lecturer Bajinder Singh, Lecturer Tajinder Singh, Mehal Singh and other teachers were present on this occasion.
