Hoshiarpur, February 27 - Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, while seeking cooperation from the residents of the district, said that the district administration will take feedback from the people from time to time so that the pace of development work at the level of development projects, benefits of welfare schemes, proper solution of issues and problems related to various areas can be ensured on time.

While talking to the media in her office for the first time today after assuming charge, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that apart from the problems of traffic system, illegal encroachments, garbage heaps in the city, she has been apprised of the issues related to various areas of the district and effective steps will be taken in this direction in the coming days.
She said that the continuity of basic facilities will be maintained at all times in the entire district and the problems of the people will be resolved on priority basis. She said that her office can be informed about the public problems related to any area, on which appropriate action will be taken and necessary relief will be provided to the people.
He said that along with this, special attention will also be given to the health and education sector so that quality health services can be provided to the people and quality education to the students in an even better way. He said that a total of 73 Aam Aadmi Clinics are running successfully in the district, where people are getting health services near their homes.
He said that efforts will also be made to further strengthen the infrastructure in hospitals and schools. Responding to questions from journalists, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that she has instructed the officials to solve public problems on priority basis, so that people's work in offices can be done within the stipulated time.
She said that she has also received information about the problem of drinking water and sewerage in the city, for which the concerned department has been instructed to resolve it immediately. Talking to journalists, she said that efforts will also be made to streamline the traffic system in the inner main areas of the city, so that people can get relief. She also sought cooperation from the people, so that such problems can be resolved. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, who has been the Commissioner of the local Municipal Corporation in the year 2021, said that under the 'zero tolerance' policy of the Punjab Government against corruption and drug abuse, the district administration will take strict action against drug abuse and no mercy will be shown to those involved in corruption.
She said that priority will also be given to providing civic services related to various departments to the people in a smooth manner and in the shortest possible time. She said that the quality of the ongoing projects and development works in the district will also be checked from time to time.
