
Father of the Nation Mahatma Jotirao Phule's birthday was celebrated at Banga
Banga, April 11:- The birth anniversary of the father of the nation, social reformer, writer, philosopher and great social revolutionary Mahatma Jotirao Phule was celebrated with great enthusiasm by Dr. Ambedkar Buddhist Welfare Trust Banga in the hall of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji Gurdwara here today.

While the audience in the event gave information about themselves, they also spoke openly about the life struggle of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. The event was presided over by Dr Kashmir Chand President Dr Ambedkar Buddhist Welfare Trust. Apart from Dr. Kashmir Chand, NRI Gurdayal Bodhji, Mr. Jagdish Roy Principal Ret., Dr. Ajay Kumar Basra, Dr. Sukhwinder Hira, Principal Lal Chand Aujla and Mr. Mohan Lal CEO Ret. Addressing the event, Dr. Kashmir Chand, President, Dr. Ambedkar Buddhist Welfare Trust Banga said that Mahatma Jyotirao Phule ji dedicated his entire life to provide equal rights to the people of the most backward classes.
He said that while Mahatma Jyotirao Phule ji struggled for the socially deprived people, he also made real efforts for the equal rights of Indian women. Dr. Kashmir Chand further said that Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule earned the honor of being the first lady teacher of the country by teaching his wife Sasvitri Y Phule. Addressing the function on this occasion, NRI Mr. Gurdayal Bodh said that Father of the Nation Mahatma Jyotirao Phule fought for equal social, economic and cultural rights for the downtrodden sections of the society. Addressing the event Mr. Jagdish Roy Principal Rita said that today Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar ji presented the Hindu Code Bill to give equal rights to Indian women. Which was opposed by many Indian organizations and after Babasaheb's long struggle, he succeeded in giving equal rights to Indian women by getting it passed.
He said that even before this, many scholars contributed in this struggle. Apart from others, Lal Chand Aujla, Dr. Ajay Kumar Basra and Dr. Sukhwinder Hira also addressed this event. Harmesh Virdi, ex-chairman of Block Samiti Banga, performed the stage action very well.
