Mandi Gobindgarh, March 28 – The School of Hotel Management and Tourism at Desh Bhagat University conducted an industrial visit to Holiday Inn Hotel, Zirakpur for students in collaboration with the Institute's Innovation Council and Training and Placement Cell. The objective of the visit was to enhance the knowledge of the students and familiarize them with the recent trends in the hotel industry. Taking advantage of this, Hotel Management students participated enthusiastically. The tour began with a session by Varun Sharma, Learning and Development Manager, explaining the history of the hotel group and the various amenities available at the hotel property. Students visited various departments of the hotel including restaurant, kitchen, guest room, bar, front desk etc. The heads of the departments briefed the students about the working of their respective sections and the emerging trends. The students took full advantage of this visit. The tour was moderated by Chef Rinku Singh.
