SAS Nagar, January 6 - Even though the municipal corporation is talking about taking continuous action against illegal occupations in the city. But the claims of the Municipal Corporation in this regard are empty and wherever you look, there is an abundance of illegal occupations.

The showrooms and booths located in the markets in different phases of the city are also full of these illegal possessions. In the verandahs of the shops which are occupied by the shopkeepers, instead of the parking lot of the markets and the footpath built on the roadside, the hawkers occupy the place and the common people do not get open space to walk. But the administration does not pay any attention to it. Meanwhile, the footpath in front of the showrooms and booths has also come under these illegal encroachments and people have to face trouble even to go inside the shops due to the goods on the footpaths.

Whenever the municipal team comes to remove these encroachments, the shopkeepers and the leaders who patronize them oppose them. Meanwhile, when the rickshaw pullers are arrested by the Municipal Corporation, they show their license and oppose the action of the Corporation, due to which the action of the Municipal Corporation is affected.

The demand of the local residents is that the Municipal Corporation should remove these illegal encroachments without any bias so that the common people get relief from the problems they are facing.
