SAS Nagar, December 29 - Vishal Nagar Kirtan was organized in the sweet memory of Mata Gujri ji and Chote Sahibzades from the historical Gurdwara Singh Shaheed of nearby village Sohana which ended by reaching Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.

Nagar Kirtan started in the morning under the leadership of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Panj Pyara. In Nagar Kirtan, the saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were adorned in palanquin sahib decorated with flowers. In this huge city kirtan, devotees paid tribute to the martyrs by participating in scooters, motorbikes, cars, jeeps, tractors, buses etc.

In the nagar kirtan, military bands and various other bands played songs offering flowers of devotion to the martyrs and gatka parties displayed gatka jewels.

Meanwhile, the ragi, dhadi, kirtani groups tried to connect the devotees with the Guru by singing the stories of Sikh history and the sacrifices of the Sahibjades. On the way, the devotees were treated to an endless langar of bread pakodas, biscuits, milk, and Karah Prasad.

The spokesperson of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan Sohana said that this huge city kirtan is organized every year to offer flowers of devotion to martyrs due to the inspiration of Brahmleen Brahmagyani Giani Sant Baba Ajit Singh Ji Hansali. He said that on the coming date 31st December, a religious event will be organized in memory of Baba Moti Ram Mehra and Dewan Todar Mall from 10 am to 120 pm in which high quality ragi, dhadi, kwishar,
Saints and scholars will delight the Sangats by reciting Hari Jas. Guru Ka Langar will be served.
