
The students of Khalsa College Garhshankar won 31 prizes in the Regional Youth and Heritage Fair.

Garhshankar October 10 - The students of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar have performed brilliantly by participating in the Regional Youth and Heritage Fair held at Hoshiarpur. Executive Principal of the college Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur said that in the youth and heritage fair, the students of the college have won a total of 31 prizes and have won the overall third place in the fair. He said that the students have secured first place in essay writing, group singing, ghazal, folk orchestra and heritage quiz. Similarly, they have secured second place in Shabad, War, Kawishri, Mimicry, Photography, Folk Instrument and Poster Making. Got third place in poetry writing, garden, debate, poem recitation, clay, bhand, clay modelling, on-the-spot painting, histronics and still life. Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur said that 2 first, 3 second and 3 third places have been won in individual awards. He said that Kaushal Kumar Rana won individual first place in Shabad, Shubash Chandra won first place in Folk Orchestra. Amarjit Singh in war, Sumiti in skit, Amarjit Singh in group singing have won the second place. In individual third place, Arshdeep Singh in Kli, Damanveer in Bhand and Manpreet Singh in Folk Orchestra got third place. Prof. Acting Principal Lakhwinderjit Kaur congratulated the students who achieved success in various items and encouraged them to participate in various activities in the future as well. He said that the youth and heritage fairs connect the students with culture and heritage, and work to enhance the hidden art within the students. On this occasion, team in-charge professor and staff members were present.
