Orders issued to form disaster management teams of youth in the district.

Government of India's Disaster Management, Civil Defense, First Aid Trainer Shri Kaka Ram Verma, Retired Training Supervisor Red Cross Society, who provides training in disaster management, first aid and fire safety at the grassroots level in Patiala, has sent a request letter to the Punjab Government and the Deputy Commissioner that natural and man-made disasters, domestic, traffic incidents are increasing at a grassroots level.
But due to lack of training and practice of disaster management for students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and employees, a large number of lives and property are being lost. During emergencies, due to late arrival of NDRF, Army and Fire Brigade teams at the incident sites after receiving information, a large number of lives and property are being lost.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner Patiala had sent a letter to the District Education Officers, Civil Surgeon, General Manager District Industries Center, Registrar Punjabi University and Assistant Director Youth Services, ordering that maximum number of helping angels should be prepared to save the victims. Kaka Ram Verma said that due to the high number of deaths and disabilities during accidents, there is a lack of training and practice.
Therefore, 10 types of teams of youth should be formed for their own, their loved ones and public safety, rescue and help, training and practice and mock drills should be conducted. He gave this information while providing training on disaster management, first aid, and fire safety to NSS volunteers of Government Kirti College.
