Chandigarh: 24th September, 2025: The halls of Vriddhi Jagatpura Centre lit up with colors, joy, and festive cheer this Navratri as children celebrated the festival in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Punjab Engineering College (PEC). The event was held on 22 September 2025 at 12 pm, under the guidance of Pranita Biswas, with the support of Rotaract President Simrat Sidhu, Secretary Lakshit Jain, and Faculty Incharge Mr. Vibhor Chaswal.
The celebration featured diya painting and arts-and-crafts sessions, where children expressed their creativity with vibrant hues and imaginative designs. Their enthusiasm turned every diya and craft into a bright reflection of festive spirit. The students’ reactions added to the liveliness of the day. Anshika (Class 2) said with a big smile, “I liked everything today, please come again next year too.” Another student, Sony (Class 2), shared, “It was so much fun with the Rotaract brothers and sisters. I want them to celebrate with us again.”. Nandani (Class 2) presented a dance, which was met with loud applause
A total of 30 Rotaractors from PEC participated in the celebration, engaging with the children and guiding them through the activities. Core members present included Pranav Malhotra, Votational Services Director, Harmanmeet Kaur, Community Services Director, Jayvardhan Pandey, Blood Chair, Kritika Singla, Club editor, Sakshi Singh, Social media head, Harmanjeet Kaur, PRO and Jai Dureja, Publicity head. The program concluded with the distribution of notebooks, pens, chocolates, and biscuits, spreading smiles and festive cheer among the children.
