Women inaugurate grand Ramlila with new technology at Indradhanush Sabhagar

Chandigarh/Panchkula: A grand Ramlila was inaugurated by more than 80 women, social workers and women from Chandigarh and surrounding areas at Indradhanush Sabhagar in Sector 5, Panchkula on Tuesday. In this historic ceremony, Haryana's first woman citizen Mitra Ghosh, renowned spiritual guru Jagadguru Kumar Swami Ji Maharaj, Deputy Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Krishan Lal Midha, Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Satnam Singh Sandhu, Haryana BJP District President Ajay Mittal, and Chandigarh Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla jointly lit the lamp. The sacred light taken from Maharshi Balmiki Ashram in Amritsar was used for the inauguration.

Ekta Nagpal, founder of Jadhan Saha Jodlo Sanstha and Arun Sood, president of Ramlila Organizing Committee, said that this effort by women is a good example of cultural protection and women's power. Before the ceremony, Havan Yagya and prayers were performed in the afternoon.
In the first day's presentation, women artists presented glimpses of Maharshi Narada's dialogue, Lord Shiva telling Maa Parvati about the events related to the life of Shri Ram ji, the dialogue of Ravana and Apsara Vedavati and many other characters. Each character was played in a well-rounded and effective manner.
Mitra Ghosh said that Indian women play a vital role in protecting religion, culture and family values. Even today, women are doing such big cultural presentations despite their busy lives.
Jagadguru Kumar Swami Ji Maharaj described Lord Shri Ram as an ideal son, husband, brother and king and said that the audience gets inspired by the artists bringing his qualities to life.
Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Satnam Singh Sandhu said that the main objective of Ramlila is to implement the qualities of Shri Ram in our lives. He also said that the number of Ramlilas is increasing in the country which is an important education for the future generation.
Chandigarh Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla advised the Connect with Roots organization that organizing Ramlila by women with new technology and light-and-sound is an excellent example of women's power. Through this Ramlila, the message of the life of Lord Shri Ram is being conveyed to the audience.
Thousands of spectators attended this grand event and it was remembered as a historic cultural occasion.
