Maur Mandi (Paigam-E-Jagat), September 23:- Residents of village Maur Kalan today submitted a demand letter to SDM Maur Sukhraj Singh Dhillon for drainage of sewage and cleaning of streets and roads. The villagers have demanded that the main road leading to Maur Kalan, on which the Aam Aadmi Clinic and the water well are located, is completely submerged in water, and before the road is constructed, the special sewage pipeline from the Aam Aadmi Clinic should be connected to the sewerage ditch built in front of Kiran Hospital.
The pipeline from MC Gurcharan Singh's house should be connected to the sewerage pipeline of Mansa Kaichiyan, and the village water should be poured into it by making a ditch or installing a motor. The streets and roads of all the wards in Maur Kalan should be repaired. The sewerage pits should be cleaned using super suction machines. The street where the debris is lying should be removed with a JCB machine.
The problem of sewage water being mixed with drinking water and supplied to the houses should be solved permanently. The water box pipe should be connected to a needle or canal. After cleaning the ponds, make solid pits and pour the water into the sewerage. Cleaning machines should be provided and sanitation workers should be employed for cleaning. Street lights should be turned on which have been closed for a long time. The sewage system plant should be further developed and new technology machines should be made available to the sewerage officials.
If our demands are not resolved, then our village should be removed from the municipal council because whatever development grant comes does not reach us, nor do any cleaning machines or sanitation workers come to clean us. We are considered B or C grade citizens. If the government does not fulfill these demands, a permanent dharna will be held in front of the SDM office. Rajwinder Singh Rahi, Raj Singh, Yadwinder Singh Yadu MC, Pargat Singh, Harjinder Singh Kappi and a large number of Maur Kalan residents were present on this occasion.
