Hoshiarpur- As part of the ongoing war-footing to change the look of Hoshiarpur roads, Lok Sabha member from Hoshiarpur Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa today launched the construction work of Ring Road Hoshiarpur.
This two and a half kilometer long road, which has been in bad condition for a long time, is being renovated at a cost of Rs. 2.5 crore. The construction of this 23 meter wide strong and luxurious road from Bajwara Satsang Ghar to Swaran Bypass will greatly benefit the residents and passers-by.
Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said on this occasion that it is a matter of great happiness that the Muhurat of this auspicious work is happening on the first Navratri occasion. He said that the roads have suffered heavy damage due to rain and floods. He said that Hoshiarpur has already got 1000 km of roads, the construction of which is underway.
He said that now 500 km of more roads have been released by the government, on which Rs 71 crore will be spent. He said that 25-26 roads will be constructed under this. MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said on this occasion that the ongoing work of construction and repair of all the major roads of the city will be completed soon.
He clarified that there has been some delay in the construction due to rains, but now this work is being completed on a war footing. He said that the officials have been instructed not to compromise on the quality of road construction and to ensure that durable and strong roads are available to the public.
