SAS Nagar, August 18- Mohali Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu issued licenses of 12 new taxi stands on behalf of the Municipal Corporation.
On this occasion, Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu said that applications were given by these people for the last two years and their licenses have been approved by the Local Government Department. He said that the purpose of giving licenses to them was to regularize them and along with this, taxi service was provided to the people of Mohali in a better manner.
He said that along with this, illegal encroachments have also been removed and where they were formed, they have been regularized. He said that with this, the Mohali Municipal Corporation will also get revenue and with regularization, these taxi stands will also work under the rules and regulations.
It is worth mentioning here that taxi stands were operating at many places in Mohali earlier but they were not regular, now they have been regularized and some new licenses have been issued.
