Chandigarh, September 22 - Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the GST reforms recently implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will benefit common citizens in the state by about Rs 4,000 crore in the entire year and this will bring the biggest change in the economic development of the state and the country.

These GST reforms will not only provide relief to traders but will also simplify the lives of common consumers. The important aspect is that citizens will now take advantage of the low GST and bring indigenous products to their homes. These reforms will give a boost to the ease of doing business and bring transparency in business activities.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini was interacting with shopkeepers and traders during a program organized in the main market of Ladwa on Monday regarding the statewide Goods and Services Tax Bachat Utsav.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini garlanded the statue of Maharaja Agrasen at Ramkundi Chowk and after greeting the people of the state on the occasion of Agrasen Jayanti and Navratri, he inaugurated the statewide Goods and Services Tax Utsav.
After this, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini reached Shaheed Dhingra Chowk via Main Market, Sangam Market and gave detailed information to the shopkeepers and traders about the newly implemented GST rates by the government and appealed to the people to bring indigenous goods and products home.
During this, the Chief Minister also garlanded the statue of Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra. The Chief Minister informed about the reforms made in GST and the reliefs given.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the GST awareness campaign has been started to spread the information about the benefits and importance of GST reforms to the general public and traders. This campaign will run till October 15, 2025. For this, the Excise and Taxation Department is organizing camps under the Extension Project. He said that the first phase of the campaign will run from September 22 to 29. All the public representatives will actively participate in this and will visit selected markets daily and inform the shopkeepers and customers about the reforms.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the officials of the Chamber of Commerce and various market associations are also being associated with this campaign, so that the traders can directly benefit. Social media platforms are also being used to promote GST reforms. For this, hashtags like GST Reforms, Ease of Doing, Swadeshi and Haryana have been launched.
He said that the aim of this campaign is not only to provide information about tax reforms but also to give a message to the people to adopt Made in India products and promote the spirit of Swadeshi. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that through this campaign, not only the business community will be aware, but the general public will also get direct benefit of these reforms and Haryana will become even stronger in terms of business vision.
On the auspicious occasion of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti, the officer of Shri Agrawal Sabha Ladwa also honored the Chief Minister by presenting a commemorative plaque.
Former Minister of State Subhash Sudha, Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, Superintendent of Police Nitish Agarwal, MC Chairperson Sakshi Khurana and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
