
Like NDRF, nursing students ready for disaster management.
Patiala- At the conclusion of the three-day disaster management training camp dedicated to Bhai Ghanaiya Ji, Florence Nightingale and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mr. Jean Henry Dunant, Dr. Vishal Chopra, Medical Superintendent, Rajindra Hospital, after seeing the disaster management, first aid, CPR performances of the students of Government Nursing College, awarded certificates and said that the students of Government Nursing College, Patiala, like NDRF personnel, have become ready as helping angels of the victims.
Patiala- At the conclusion of the three-day disaster management training camp dedicated to Bhai Ghanaiya Ji, Florence Nightingale and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mr. Jean Henry Dunant, Dr. Vishal Chopra, Medical Superintendent, Rajindra Hospital, after seeing the disaster management, first aid, CPR performances of the students of Government Nursing College, awarded certificates and said that the students of Government Nursing College, Patiala, like NDRF personnel, have become ready as helping angels of the victims.
For which purpose, he thanked Mr. Kaka Ram Verma for providing training and said that last year, following the orders of Dr. Balbir Singh Ji, Health Minister, Kaka Ram Verma also conducted trainings for the students of Government Medical College, Patiala.
These disaster management trainings will also be conducted for other students in turn. So, let the students of Patiala Medical and Nursing College be made the helping angels of the victims during natural and human disasters. Dr. Balwinder Kaur, Principal of the Nursing College, expressed her gratitude and said that Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, who is a disaster management trainer of the Government of India, provided training for the three days according to his experiences.
Apart from this, Rajinder Sharma of Fire Brigade, Dr. Rahul Dabur of Guru Nanak Institute of Medical Technology, Harinder Singh Karir of Bhai Ghanaiya Ambulance Brigade, SI Ram Saran of Punjab Police also taught the students modern safety, rescue, help, CPR, recovery position, ventilator artificial respiration, use of ropes, turbans, limes, branches, sticks, bamboos, ABC methods of saving precious lives during wars, floods, fires, gases, electric short circuits, earthquakes, traffic accidents, collapse of buildings or any other emergency.
Kaka Ram Verma expressed his gratitude and said that disasters and domestic incidents are increasing day by day, therefore, in order to prevent loss of life and property and to spread the knowledge of helping the victims to every household, with the support of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh Ji, District Administration, Civil Surgeon and institutions, efforts are being made to make maximum number of youths as helping angels of the victims.
The students who took the training vowed that they would definitely help as helping angels to save the lives of the victims immediately at the time of disasters or incidents. Helping angels are honored by the governments.
