Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 21, 2025- Punjab has become the first state in the country, where the International Yoga Day function was celebrated simultaneously with great enthusiasm in all 23 districts, blocks, villages and cities including Mohali today.
12210 people participated in Yoga Day functions celebrated at 33 places in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) district. In these yoga events, all the coordinators of CM's yoga shala and trainers of yoga shala also participated in large numbers.
Under the patronage of the District Administration in Mohali, under the supervision of Coordinator Pratima Dawar, Ayurveda and Unani Department, Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Sector-78, Sector-79, Sector-81, Sector-66 Drug Detoxification and Rehabilitation Center in Mohali city and all blocks of Kharar city, as well as in Ramlila Hall in Kharar city, in which SDM Divya P of Kharar also performed yoga and congratulated the people on Yoga Day.
Apart from this, Yoga Day was also celebrated in Swamiji Park of Kurali, Village Kalewal, Village Roorkee Pukhta and Sector-125 of Kharar, Senior Citizen Hall and Western Tower Society of Kharar. The 11th International Yoga Day was also celebrated in village Nada of Nayagaon and in New Chandigarh Ecocity and Omax Ambika.
District Coordinator Pratima Dawar said that in Zirakpur, Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Aerovista, Krishna Enclave, Highland Society, Green Lotus Society, Jarnail Singh Daulat Park, Royal Motiaz, Dhakoli Village, Golden Sand Society, Altura Apartment Nagla Road, Swastik Vihar, Maxx Society, Bollywood Society.
On this occasion, Zirakpur MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa also did yoga and went to Bollywood Society and Altura Society and motivated people to do yoga. On the occasion of Yoga Day, Yoga Day was also celebrated in Block Derabassi, Rampur Sainian, Forest Park, Gulmohar City Extension, and villages Bakarpur, Hammayupur, Khar Gujran, village Kalewal and BDPO office Derabassi.
