
Awareness program on road safety and traffic rules compliance organized
Hoshiarpur: On the directions of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbagh Singh Johal, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal organized an awareness program at James Cambridge International School to make students aware about the campaign 'Your Journey, Your Life, Your Responsibility': Drive Safely and Stay Safe.
Hoshiarpur: On the directions of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbagh Singh Johal, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal organized an awareness program at James Cambridge International School to make students aware about the campaign 'Your Journey, Your Life, Your Responsibility': Drive Safely and Stay Safe.
Around 170 students participated in this program. Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal while addressing the students said that we should follow road safety precautions and traffic rules so that no accident occurs while driving any vehicle. Therefore, this campaign is being carried out in coordination with the Traffic Police and District Education Officer to spread awareness among the students.
During this, the students were also made aware of the various schemes of NALSA as well as the Punjab Victim Compensation Scheme 2017 and the Juvenile Justice Act. The Secretary District Legal Services Authority said that the fourth and last National Lok Adalat of this year is to be held on 14 December 2024.
People can get the benefit of the National Lok Adalat by filing maximum cases in this Lok Adalat. He said that peddling and pre-litigative cases are heard in the National Lok Adalats. Pending cases are those which are pending in the courts, an application can be made to the judges of the concerned court to file these cases in the Lok Adalat and pre-litigative cases are those which are not going on in the courts, such as water and electricity bills, telephone company, bank cases, Aadhaar card, voter card etc., and their problems can be resolved with the consent of both the parties by filing an application.
Along with this, a meeting was held today with the panel advocates and LADC counsel. During this meeting, they were instructed to register the details of their respective cases on the NALSA portal as soon as possible so that all the information regarding these cases can be available on the NALSA portal. Finally, promotional materials regarding free legal services were distributed by Paralegal Volunteer Arpan Kumar.
On this occasion, School Principal Sharad Kumar, Head Mistress Jasjit Mundi, Coordinator Harminder Singh, RTA Ravinder Singh Gill, Traffic Police Officer and Panel Advocate of District Legal Services Authority Harjit Kaur, Pawan Kumar Munshi/Servant and Arpan Kumar PLV were present.
