Mahilpur, April 12- The History Department of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur organized a special lecture on the topic "Partition of the country: Who is responsible". On this occasion, Professor of History Department Dr. Rakesh Bawa from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Droli Kala participated as a resource person. On this occasion, Head of the History Department Dr. Dev Kumar gave the welcome speech.

He said that many books have been written on the partition of the country, in which various parties have been held responsible by scholars for the partition of the country. He said that through such lectures, students can understand such topics of history from different perspectives. On this occasion, Resource Person Dr. Rakesh Bawa specifically mentioned the political, social, cultural and economic condition of India during the British colonial period and the role of various political, religious and social parties responsible for the partition of the country.
He presented serious views on this subject. He said that the British policy of divide and rule was not the only thing responsible for the partition of the country, but many other reasons of that time also played a big role in the partition of the country. On this occasion, he told the students that history can never be understood from a single perspective.
He motivated the students to study historical books from an unbiased and public-friendly perspective and answered the questions asked by the students related to the partition of the country. College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, while giving the vote of thanks, said that there has always been mutual understanding and love between people of different religions and classes in the society, but the evil tricks of religious and political leaders give rise to tragedies like the partition of the country.
He motivated the students to follow the ideology of world brotherhood. On this occasion, Professor Anil Kalsi conducted the stage. On this occasion, Professor Jaswinder Singh, Dr. J.B. Sekhon and college students were present in large numbers.
