Anti-Dengue Campaign: Checking in Dhabas and Sweet Shops of Boothgarh

Boothgarh (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), June 13: Under the campaign ‘Every Friday, Fight against Dengue’, a health team led by Dr. Alkjot Kaur, Senior Medical Officer of Primary Health Center Boothgarh, checked in Dhabas and Sweet Shops in Boothgarh.

Boothgarh (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), June 13: Under the campaign ‘Every Friday, Fight against Dengue’, a health team led by Dr. Alkjot Kaur, Senior Medical Officer of Primary Health Center Boothgarh, checked in Dhabas and Sweet Shops in Boothgarh.
Giving information in this regard, Dr. Alkjot Kaur said that on the instructions of Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, checking was done in various shops today and shopkeepers were asked not to allow water to accumulate anywhere to prevent dengue fever. Along with this, shopkeepers were instructed to maintain cleanliness and to prepare and sell quality and adulterated food items. Meanwhile, PHC Health teams checked shops and dhabas at various places under the department.
According to Dr. Alkjot Kaur, the shopkeepers were told that dengue is a life-threatening fever, to prevent it, water should not be allowed to stagnate at any place. 
She said that if dengue fever occurs for any reason, there is no need to panic. The patient should be brought to a government health institution where dengue testing and treatment is absolutely free.
 The patient should consume fluids like water, juice, lemon water, coconut water etc. as much as possible and rest. For any kind of information, the helpline number 104 of the health department can be contacted.
