Agriculture Department to organize district-level farmer training camp on April 09: Deputy Commissioner

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 6: The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, is organizing a district-level farmer training camp and agricultural exhibition on Wednesday, April 09, 2025, at Kisan Vikas Chamber (Calcutta Bhawan), Aerocity Block C, Mohali to provide technical information and education to farmers about Kharif crops.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 6: The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, is organizing a district-level farmer training camp and agricultural exhibition on Wednesday, April 09, 2025, at Kisan Vikas Chamber (Calcutta Bhawan), Aerocity Block C, Mohali to provide technical information and education to farmers about Kharif crops.
In this regard, Dr. Gurmail Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer, said that in this camp, farmers will be given the latest technical education for the proper use of water and saving the environment.
Mrs. Komal Mittal (IAS) SAS Nagar said that in this camp, detailed information will be given about the machines being provided to individual farmers under CRM scheme for stubble management at 50 percent subsidy, 80 percent subsidy to farmer groups and about the financial assistance of Rs. 4000 per acre for fertilizers, medicines, seeds etc. for pulses and oilseed crops under ATMA scheme and about other schemes being run by the department. Apart from this, technical information will be provided by experts from horticulture, animal husbandry, soil conservation, fisheries, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mohali in this camp and exhibitions will be organized.
The chief guests of this camp will be Sardar Kulwant Singh, MLA, Mohali constituency, Mrs. Anmol Gagan Mann MLA, Kharar constituency and Mr. Kuljit Singh Randhawa MLA, Derabassi constituency.
The camp will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal (IAS). Dr. Jaswant Singh, Director, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Punjab will preside over the camp.
Shri Komal Mittal (IAS), Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar appealed to maximum farmers to participate in this camp and get technical information about Kharif crops from agricultural experts and to take full advantage of this knowledge by adopting it in their fields.
