S.A.S. Nagar, March 20- The district unit meeting of Gatka Federation of India and Punjab Gatka Association (Regd.) was held under the chairmanship of District President Akwinder Singh Gosal. It was decided in the meeting that on April 13, on the occasion of Vaisakhi, the foundation day of the Khalsa Panth, the second grand Virsa Sambhal Gatka competition will be organized at Gurdwara Amb Sahib, Phase 8, Mohali.
Mr. Akwinder Singh Gosal said that in this Virsa Sambhal Gatka competition, which will run from 4 pm to 10 pm, teams from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh will show their mettle. Each participating team will be given a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 to promote Gatka. Cash prizes will be given to the teams that came first and second in the Virsa Sambhal Gatka competition team demo and individual fight (stick) competition.
The meeting was attended by the Association's General Secretary Davinder Singh Jugni, Senior Vice President Jagtar Singh Jaggi, Finance Secretary Amarjit Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Harmanjot Singh Jantpur, Rajvir Singh, Talwinder Singh Desumajra, Amandeep Singh Lalru and other dignitaries.
