Commissioner Municipal Corporation held a meeting with five councilors with pilot project

Hoshiarpur-To make the city clean and beautiful, a pilot project has been initiated in five wards under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain regarding source segregation. In this regard, Commissioner of Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation Dr. Amandeep Kaur today held a meeting with the councilors of ward numbers 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and discussed the project with them. While giving information, she said that an important step is being taken with the aim of making the city clean and environment friendly. In this regard, a pilot project is being started from June 9 in ward numbers 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain.

The Commissioner Municipal Corporation said that the aim of this project is to collect wet and dry waste separately from every house and process it properly. Dr. Amandeep Kaur said that for this work, the Municipal Corporation is taking the cooperation of Shri Krishna Infraservices under Hoshiarpur Sonalika Tractor Limited. Under this, 50 special type of waste collection vehicles will be installed in these wards, which will collect different types of waste without leaving each house.
Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dr. Amandeep Kaur appealed to the councilors present in the meeting to motivate the citizens of their area for waste segregation. If any person does not cooperate, then action will be taken against him under the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 and a challan will be issued.
Dr. Amandeep Kaur said that cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the Municipal Corporation, but it is the duty of every citizen to be a part of the cleanliness campaign. Only with the cooperation of the citizens can the city be made ideal, clean and beautiful.
Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Ajay Sharma, Councilor Mukhti Ram of Ward 8, Councilor Jaspal Singh of Ward 10, Councilor Ranjit Chaudhary of Ward 11 and Councilor Amrik Chand of Ward 12 were present on this occasion.
