He said that these water sources are not only helpful in maintaining the groundwater level, but can also play an important role in resolving the water crisis. He emphasized that it is our responsibility towards our future generations to maintain a balance between water exploitation and recharge. The government is making serious efforts in this direction and taking concrete steps to conserve water resources.

Mr. Agnihotri expressed these sentiments while attending the annual prize distribution ceremony of Sant Dhangu Wale Gujjar Government College, Beeton in Haroli Assembly constituency as the chief guest on Tuesday.
He said that water conservation is not possible only with government efforts, public participation is also necessary in this. He appealed to all the representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions to promote water harvesting and actively cooperate in reviving traditional water sources, ponds, bawdiyan.
On this occasion, emphasizing the importance of education, he said that the state government is constantly striving to promote quality education and facilities are being expanded for the all-round development of students. On this occasion, he honored the students who performed excellently in academic, sports and cultural activities. He announced to give 51 thousand to the girl students who presented cultural programs in the function.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Haroli Vidhansabha area is witnessing a revolutionary phase of education. Improvement and development work of sports grounds in educational institutions is being done on priority. He said that the purpose of opening colleges in Beaton, Khadd and Haroli was to strengthen education in rural areas. Especially girls were to be given the opportunity of better education near home. They have benefited to a great extent. The children studying here are earning name in the country and the world.
Beet Kshetra Irrigation Scheme-2 worth Rs 80 crore
He said that Beet Kshetra Irrigation Scheme-2 is being constructed at a cost of Rs 80 crore to expand irrigation facilities in Beet area. To overcome the problem of water, tube wells are being installed in every village, where there was no talk of crops, today grains, fruits and vegetables are being grown. Apart from this, about Rs 66 crore is being spent on water pipes. In Haroli Vidhansabha, a tank with a capacity of 50 lakh liters of water has been built in Polian and a tank of 25 lakh liters in Dulahad.
'Tenders worth Rs 800 crore for Bulk Drug Park project will be issued next month'
Describing the Bulk Drug Park project as a milestone for the economic scenario of Himachal Pradesh in the direction of industrial development, the Deputy Chief Minister said that this project to be built in 1405 acres of area at a cost of Rs 2000 crore will provide employment to thousands of youth. The Center and Himachal Government are investing Rs 1000 crore each in it. He said that tenders worth Rs 800 crore will be issued from next month, which will speed up the infrastructural construction work of the project.
Zero tolerance against chitta
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the resolve to make Una a drug-free district and said that strict action will be taken against those involved in the drug trade. He said that the government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against chitta. No one will be spared in this.
Area under CCTV surveillance
He said that the entire Haroli assembly constituency has been brought under CCTV surveillance at a cost of Rs 2 crore, so that crime can be curbed. CCTV cameras have been installed at the main entrances, routes, markets and important places of the assembly constituency, so that no criminal will be able to escape.
Development works worth crores
Mentioning the development in the Beaton area, he said that Rs 1.14 crore has been made available for the construction of Beaton Panchayat House. Beautification of temples has been given priority here. 25 lakh rupees each have been given for Beaton Kutia and Jakhewal Mandir. 2 crore rupees are being spent on pond beautification in Beaton. 1.50 crore rupees are being spent on the construction of a playground in Beaton, while 1 crore rupees are being spent on the improvement of the playground in Singa. About 3 crore rupees have been spent on the CHC building.
13 crore rupees have been sanctioned for Gondpur- Bathu road and 10 crore rupees for Amrali- Chetra- Sahuwal road.
Underlining the progress made in the field of education, he said that when he became MLA for the first time, there were limited resources for higher education in Haroli. But due to continuous efforts, today 33 senior secondary schools, one Kendriya Vidyalaya, three degree colleges and two ITI institutes are operating in Haroli. The Triple IT established in Haroli has made its mark at the national level, while the nursing and law colleges of Himcaps Society have emerged as excellent centers of education.
Deputy Chief Minister inspired children, gave example of Jai Chaudhary
The Deputy Chief Minister told the students the importance of hard work and determination and said that every goal can be achieved with hard work. He gave the example of Jai Chaudhary of Panoh village of Haroli, who is a big businessman in America today. If Jai Chaudhary can make his name famous in the world by coming out of a small village, then other children here can also achieve extraordinary achievements with their hard work and dedication.
Mr. Agnihotri said that he has requested Jai Chaudhary to come to Haroli and meet the children and teachers, so that his story can inspire the youth of the state. It is a matter of happiness that Jai Chaudhary has accepted this invitation and he will come to Haroli soon.
On this occasion, Principal of Sant Dhangu Wale Gujjar Government College, Beeton, Dr. Sunita Goyal expressed her gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and honored him by presenting a shawl and cap.
