4th PGIMER National Critical Care Nursing Conference concluded successfully

The 4th PGIMER National Critical Care Nursing Conference focused on “Best Practices in Emergency, Perioperative, and Critical Care” was held at PGIMER Chandigarh on February 14-15, 2025. This health conclave was organised by Society for Critical Care Nursing (SCCN) and Society of Emergency, Trauma and disaster (SETD), PGIMER in collaboration with IUINDRR, Government of India under Dr Raman Sharma, Associate Professor-cum-JMS (organising chairperson) and Mahendra Kumar (organising Secretary).

The 4th PGIMER National Critical Care Nursing Conference focused on “Best Practices in Emergency, Perioperative, and Critical Care” was held at PGIMER Chandigarh on February 14-15, 2025. This health conclave was organised by Society for Critical Care Nursing (SCCN) and Society of Emergency, Trauma and disaster (SETD), PGIMER in collaboration with IUINDRR, Government of India under Dr Raman Sharma, Associate Professor-cum-JMS (organising chairperson) and Mahendra Kumar (organising Secretary). 
On the first day three hands on workshops were held on perioperative care,  paediatric medicine care and Trauma & disaster management. For first time in North India set up a Live telecast of Stroke IVT thrombolysis Simulation was demonstrated to participants for better patient care practices. With the participation of over 1000 delegates from 17 states and UTs across the nation, the conclave brought together renowned experts and professionals in field of critical care . Another major highlight of the conference was deliberations on a very vital aspect of ‘Violence Against Healthcare Workers: Importance and its Implications’. 
The panel discussion emphasized the growing concern of violence against healthcare workers and the need for collective efforts to minimize this risk. Eminent panellists; Dr. Naresh k. Arora ,ADGP Punjab, Dr. Manjul tripathi Additional Professor Department of Neurosurgery, Col Kiron Jeet ,ADGMNS (Ministry of Defense), Dr. Raman Sharma, Associate professor cum JMS , Department of Hospital Administration and Mr Adhiraj Singh, AAG Punjab shared vital suggestions and insights, highlighting the importance of addressing this critical issue. 
The conference provided a platform for knowledge sharing, skill development, and networking among critical care nursing professionals. It reinforced the commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive environment for healthcare workers.
