
One day workshop organized for parents of children with special needs
Nawanshahr, February 15- As per the instructions of Director Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Punjab and under the leadership of District Education Officer (SEO) Shahid Bhagat Singh, a one day workshop was organized for parents of children with special needs in Government Primary School Barwa. In the workshop, Kuldeep Kumar IERT gave detailed information to the parents about the problems of children with special needs and their solutions.
Nawanshahr, February 15- As per the instructions of Director Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Punjab and under the leadership of District Education Officer (SEO) Shahid Bhagat Singh, a one day workshop was organized for parents of children with special needs in Government Primary School Barwa. In the workshop, Kuldeep Kumar IERT gave detailed information to the parents about the problems of children with special needs and their solutions.
He said that it is important to identify these children in time and get them treated, so that they can also live their lives in a better way like other children. On this occasion, Gurdayal Singh BRC told that the government provides free treatment for 98 other diseases including heart defects, blindness, hand-foot surgery, head amputation, ear problems, speech problems, inability to walk etc. to children studying in government schools between the age of 3 to 18 years.
But for this it is necessary that the child gets admission in a government school. He said that apart from this, wheelchairs, hearing aids, tricycles, wheelchairs, roll letters, TLM kits are provided to children and smart phones, calipers, artificial limbs etc. are provided to visually impaired children completely free of cost.
He motivated the parents to get their children admitted in government schools as much as possible and avail the benefits of government facilities. On this occasion, Ruhi IRT, Jaswinder Kaur, Krishna Kaur, Jatinder Kaur, Neetu, Gurpreet Kaur Chairman School Management Committee, Sito, Sukhdeep Kaur and Amarjit Kaur etc. were present.
