Chandigarh- Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh kept its office at Sector-41, Chandigarh closed for the whole day in support of the ongoing agitation of farmers and the call for Punjab bandh given by the farmers. The organization's President Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal, Senior Vice President Jagtar Singh Jog, Vice Presidents Daron Singh Sidhu, Bhupinder Bhagomajaria, Teja Singh Thuha, General Secretary Avtar Singh Mehatpuri, Joint Secretary Krishan Rahi, Press Secretary Amarjit Singh Bathlana, Finance Secretary Raje Singh Kumar, Advisor Balwinder Singh, Surjan Singh Jassal and Punjab State Convener Jaspal Singh Kanwal said in a press release that the entire organization supports the demands of the farmers, who have been struggling for a long time for their major demands and the government is not paying heed to their demands.
Pradhan Bahadur Singh Gosal said that Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh organization had earlier also appealed to find a solution to end the fast unto death of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Delwal and save his life, but the government has been unable to solve this problem, due to which there is a wave of anger against the government in the hearts of the common people. Now that 34 days have passed since the fast unto death, the government is sitting silently and the country's food provider is roaming on the streets in the severe cold, which is very unfortunate for the country.
The government should adopt a sympathetic attitude towards the demands of the farmers and save the life of Mr. Delwal. He said that today's Punjab bandh has come up due to the silence of the government. Due to which his organization is giving full support. Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha always gives its full contribution for the rights of Punjab, Punjabis and Punjabiat. In view of today's Punjab Bandh movement, the government should take immediate action so that the law and order situation in the country remains good.
